Thanks for the reply. Managed to remove the dir, and completely reinstall the files/db.
Redid the test initial url, and the app went through the installation steps, where it hung at the
Setting up user settings…
Setting up currencies… <<<<
and it never completes!!
Any pointers on what I can examine would be great.
The mysql error.log is empty
The /var/log/apache2/error.log appears ok…
